 Today we had to update our goal setting from the start of the year to see if we had done those things  or not and this is what  I achieved

Next  week we are going to camp at tui ridge which is near rotorua we will do lots of activities including indoor rock climbing,laser tag and the luge.And I will show you what my goals are and in two weeks from now I will fill in the reflection for my goals and if I achieved them

Biosecurity

We have been learning about biosecurity in Reading. We read a book called Unwanted Visitors. The unwanted visitors were bugs and pests coming into New Zealand. Biosecurity is making sure pests and diseases don't come into the country from the border. Sometimes they come in on the bottom of boats, on people's footwear and in food when people come into New Zealand.

So we had to make an ad so people would remember to check their bags for food before they travel to New Zealand. I made my ad using Google Slides. It was easy to choose the background because it was a cool colour that stood out. It was tricky to find the picture because there weren't good ones using the Explore tool. I ended up choosing one from the internet that was free to reuse and then I removed the background.

It was easy to record my voice.

Frogs - Comic Strip.

We were learning to make a graphic text. First we read a Graphic Novel called Frogs. Then we had to write Part 2. We worked in  buddies and my buddy was Manvi. She was a good partner because she is on task and gets her work done. It made me keep up.

Last week we were learning about the sacraments of ination. 

It was easy to find symbols for the sacraments of ination.

Photo Collage of the Environment Centre

We went to the Environment Centre. We learnt that you need to put cardboard and brown leaves in your compost to stop it from smelling. We also learnt that tea bags have plastic in them. When we got back to school we were learning how to make a photo collage.
We had to get five or so photos and put them all together to make a photo collage. I used Canva
It was easy to make the collage because you just had to drag the photos to make the collage..
I found nothing hard about making the photo collage because Canva already had the template to use.

July reflection

We are reflecting on our learning for July.

Our reflections are a great way to sit down and think what we have learnt in that month.

I found it easy to take a selfie of myself.
I didn't find anything tricky.
Next time I would change the background so it stands out a bit more.

We are learning to structure reports.
We got a cut up level three report and then had to put the same subject in the same paragraphs.
I found it hard to keep it in order.
I found it easy to  keep to one topic in each paragraph.
I learnt that classifcation is its family-genus. A description is details specific to it. A habitat is where it lives. I actually already knew what habitat and a description were.

Why don't we float away into outer space?

Gravity is a force that  keeps things on the ground

It keeps me and you on the ground if there wasn't gravity we all would be floating in the galaxy gravity is kind of like an invisible super glue. but what happens when it goes in different directions  to test this get a tennis ball and throw it up what happens. then throw it sideways what happens the same. no matter which direction you throw it it will always come down this is because of gravity  . Earth's gravity is just right to have life living on it because the gravity pulls it all together. You know the saying what goes up must come down

We were going to the beach. I had to go in my cousin's car . we had to drive to whakatane and over the hill to ohope.mean while my aunty my uncle and my poppa went for a walk somewhere and were going to see them at the other end of the beach.But before we left for the walk I was climbing some massive pohutukawa trees and so was my cousin ben that hadn’t gone with us .Then we had to go for the walk.and when we were walking the others going on a walk had got stuck so my older cousin ethan and the others who hadn't gone with us in the car had to go and get them. But we just continued walking. there was a hammock on the beach also there was a swing and a boat there also was a mysterious  carving on the beach.but guess what we found my uncle my aunty and my poppa.and then we all went back to awakeri.

Ring-a-ling-aling-ringalingaling the telephone went that morning “I'll get it” I said.The person on the phone said  “Is this the detective agency”? “Yes it is and what do you want me to solve? Also, what's your name”?  I replied.  “My name is Hulk,” he said. “My mystery is someone's stolen my sandwich” . “What”? I said. “I said... someone has stolen my sandwich!” Hulk replied. “That's not much of a mystery, but we do whatever our customers say”. “What's your address”? I asked. “Avengers tower hq”, Hulk replied.  “Ok we will be there soon” I said. And by that I put the phone down. “Everybody to the  mystery machine!” I shouted. Then off we went.
“Finally, you’re here”, said hulk when we got there.  “What took you so long?  “Well, we live on the other side of town”, I replied. “Oh”, said hulk. “Do you have any clues yet”? Me and the whole gang asked at once.yes actually I do he said what are they we asked  i’ll show you replied hulk so they all went inside  their was spider webs iron man's sunglasses ant man's wallet  fortnite on the playstation can you tell us a bit more about everybody that lives here one of the others said “well who should I start with” “hmm spider man” well spider man’s one of the youngest avengers he’ when we are battling crime when he is with us he wraps up people in thick strands of web from this machine on his wrists. Also. wait stop that's enough information to cross him off the list. Ha we all said except the brains of the gang. Because there spider webs and hulk just said that he raps up villains and that they are thick but these spider webs are thin .Ohhh we all replied.then I asked hulk what video games does everybody play here. well let's see said hulk iron man plays technical games thor plays  fortnite. well that tells us that thor is  one of the suspects .wait everyone said apart from me and hulk what I said. hulk didn't finish his sentence said the rest of the gang is there anyone else that plays fortnite .no said hulk .whose sunglasses are  these. I don't know said hulk but I think they had a name on them . ok so why don’t we just read the name.it says iron man .but iron mans been on holiday all week and my sandwich got stolen today .The wallet you said it was ant man's yes I did. but ant man is so tiny and that means the wallet should be even smaller which leads me to think that. Then suddenly I jumped out and grabbed hulk's head and pulled it miraculously it came off and revealed the true thief .thor everybody in surprise he pretended to be hulk to cover up his tracks because knowing that hulk would call the detective agency and that's another mystery solved and with that of they went while they were driving home the real hulk called to say that someone had stolen his sandwich and then they told him all that had happened that day.
